Prosser Hallock is currently involved in broad reaching initiative that continues to expand and evolve with the State of Georgia. Our experience in planning combined with our expertise in healthcare has allowed our firm to be among the forefront of thinking related to an initiative called "Communities for a Lifetime." This term is synonymous with "Aging in Place" or "Lifelong Communities." It essentially pertains to planning for the challenges and opportunities associated with the retirement of the Baby Boomers which started in 2011.
For this project in Darien our firm developed the basic platform through a series of workshops (charrettes) to create a model for this type of development. The plan provides for a range of population (young and aged) with all of the program elements creating a supportive infrastructure to promote aging place. We continue to expand our study of this idea through additional charrettes, demographic research and planning.
