The RePDIT is an innovation in assisting and managing regional planning initiatives. This web-interfaced tool was developed for the Coastal Regional Commission to aid in the organizing, scoring, analyzing and monitoring regional plan objectives in the context of obtaining and maintaing qualified local government (QLG) status. It also provides for an encrypted interface by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for assessing QLG status. Suggested task items included the development of a regional task force, an education and outreach platform, analysis of utilized objectives with correlating corrective measures and customization based on municipality. Prosser Hallock completed the framework, initial data input and completed the creation interface model. In terms of obtaining the appropriate data required for input, our team developed a series of model ordinances, aided in the development of regional planning objectives and completed a practicum series in the Coastal Georgia region. Implementation of the RePDIT is pending.
